Principal's Message

Dear Lemon Grove Academy Families, 

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year, we hope that you had a great summer break. My name is Veronica Johnson and I have the honor of beginning this school year as Interim Principal. I have been part of the Lemon Grove School District for 20 years. I started my career in Lemon Grove as a 4th and 5th grade teacher at Mount Vernon Elementary. I also had the opportunity to teach 5th grade at San Altos Elementary and 4th grade at Lemon Grove Academy Elementary, previously Golden Avenue. I returned to Mount Vernon Elementary to help develop their dual immersion program. I taught Spanish to kindergarten students for 14 years. I then had the honor of being Assistant Principal of Mount Vernon for the last two years.
