good morning welcome to the 2026 grade promotion virtual ceremony for Lemon Grove Academy Elementary School we are gathered here today on a very special occasion to Mark the end of the elementary school experience for our 6th graders and we're commemorating that achievement and we're looking forward to them stepping into a wider world of Middle School beginning next year it's important what's the largest stop and take note of special times in our lives where we make a transition from one place to another or stepping from a smaller world to a bigger world than this is one of those times was completely appropriate Christus pause and stop and celebrate this achievement think about what we've done and reflect on what lies before us so with that let's get started on her ceremony and thank you all for being here morning let's begin some words from mrs. Meyer Abbott congratulations 6th graders you have been on my mind over the last few months as your school world has been and upside down I am so proud of you and how strong and adaptable you are to go with the flow by completing your school year online as a group you all have the tools of collaboration problem-solving persistence invention creativity resiliency and more how do I know I watched you work together for an entire year to bring a project to completion focus on kindness and Community somebody fetch keep adding to your personal tool kid and know that there are many many people cheering you on including your 4th grade teacher as always I love you and do not forget the message of the mural test every day at Lemon Grove Academy especially right now be the change you want to see in the world congratulations 6th graders teachers school board members and follow 6th grade students 26 grade promotion virtuous Trollface Quest 6th grade academy ever since I was young I noticed that every year of your life is just March 26th at Academy I've made many memories I remember Academy Elementary has allowed me to make many great memories and participate and many fun activities such as the Olympics and many more I will never forget I will remember all the major elementary school and I'm sure that many of you have friendships that have made differences in your life come and go Gwinnett County for all of us to make more in Middle as you get older token, challenges focus on yourself focus on your classes and focus on learning new things remember making mistakes is just a part of learning Tracer pop fix them and make the most of your time Elementary School besides you say to pledges what which is the piece butter fudge that makes me think a lot about life which means negative energy from negative things and don't let your happiness I look forward to graduate and I'm very proud of all of us this isn't how we just you. Promotion and it will not be when you grow up and never give up with all the best people believe in what you want to be when you grow up congratulations funny funny hello fellow sixth graders it's my sixth grade class and all of his present today we start the day with The Peacemaker had to be an example a leader to my parents and support those who need to learn from one another Academy has prepared us for not only middle school but for the Future 2 6th grade Camp wanted the best for each other time The Peacemaker pledge has helped by reminding me that even with everything going on in the world I have a voice and I can still help make a difference in the world and spread positivity to our futures play Tigers I recommend that you take the word of the peaceful play accepting of others to listen remember to be kind to one another because all equal and deserve respect be supportive and work to do your part to make the world a better place tens and fellow 6th grade students and I would like to speak to you about my experiences and Lemon Grove Academy Elementary this year I was very aware that I was in sixth grade is the highest grade in Lemon Grove Academy I knew that I had to be an example for the younger classmates at Lemon Grove Academy every morning as the Austin & Ally lines we would give our peace maker place how do you make to be a leader and be and be responsible exchange this as 6th grade students and this will last for middle school and Beyond Freddy camp where we met new friends we connected with old friends to our time and Miss Davis's class dancing to Tik Tok song meters and we can have fun sixth graders are Lemon Grove That You Follow The Peacemaker play Respect prank people and enjoy your time here it goes a lot faster than I want our timing on Menchie's go to has come to an end the lessons we have learned do not have to end we can live by The Peacemaker pledge to show respect sequence you play multiplayer enjoy your uncle thank you to my sixth grade teacher Miss Tapia for being very supportive and sharing your bunny with us with David thank you for being one of the coolest t-shirts I will always remember you guys congratulations to the 6th grade class of promoting to 7th grade class of 2020 will begin with the students from Miss Davis Turner's class for homeroom class and Miss Davis I'll turn it over to you I'm so proud of you 6th graders and all of your Bushman we only got to be with each other for a short while so that is definitely something that I regret I wish I could have spent the entire school year with you all but I hope you enjoy your summer and Joyce 6th 7th grade all right I'm start with a model of Mila he was such a wonderful kid he loved Matthew was such a strong math student and he's going to miss hanging out with his friends Colin Bethke he also was one of those really super energetic kids had a lot of good energy and his favorite subject was science his his most favorite memory in a sixth grade was when we went to us I need to go watch the basketball game and San Diego State then we have Maricela Bossard who was our class president this year I'm she wants to go to college and get a good stop and get a good home she really enjoyed doing media this year and she's going to miss partying with her friends at the 6th grade dances Andrew Bravo favorite subject is p and he's also going to miss the field trip that we took to the San Diego State and is going to miss his friend Marco's Guerrero was also a very student of mine who I really enjoyed I wish I had a little bit more information about his interest from 6th grade but I know he's definitely loved being with his friends and hanging out at recess Las Casas Garcia where I'm his favorite subject is math and his favorite memory was being at camp and all the field trip that we've had Isabel Davis is a very special student as well her favorite subjects was media and she says that she's going to miss all of her teachers and her favorite memory was everything she enjoyed everything we did in 6th grade we have Arianna Espinoza next two favorite subject is math and she is going to miss our field trip that we went on six. Has the best and she's also going to miss her teachers as well then we have Diego ketamine Arroyo and his favorite subject is math his favorite memory was when we were 6th grade camp and he's going to miss his friends and all of his teachers do we have Derek green whose favorite subject was PE he also loved 6th grade camp going to mrs. teachers as well then there's Marcelina Gutierrez and her favorite subjects of the yearbook Camp must have been really popular for 6th grade cuz it again cheese her favorite memory was when they were at camp and being with her friend and she's going to miss her teachers Angel Hernandez was a very strong student very new to our school so he a lot of good energy to our school and his favorite subject is math and he enjoyed being at Camp land masses with his where they did 6th grade camp Anne Murray Donna was her favorite subject was PE physical education and her favorite memory is going to the dances and being with her friends it was always a lot of fun and she's also going to miss the people that educated her and the people that that's transferring to different schools Animas Brianna Johnston was also a new student to our school this year when a lot of good energy and her favorite subject was science before she said she didn't have a favorite memory with us but she will miss all of her very nice teachers and then we danced hey Celia who's favorites did Susie yearbook and her best memory at Lemon Grove Academy was my favorite memory was at my old school when all my friends all sat at the same table and had a really fun time but she really didn't her math class at LGA Damien Linden met his favorite subjects with p and his favorite memory was when the day that I came back from off work because of how quiet the classroom was I guess it wasn't too quiet prior to me coming and then the thing he'll miss the most is getting a new student every week it always kind of made the class will fill a little bit more life and then we also have Miss father who was a very sweet child she works so hard I'm going to miss her best of luck teen spots on the 7th grade in our favorite comedian and 6th grade Hassan you made everybody laugh his favorite subject was English language arts and he also enjoyed going to the basketball games that at SDF you and Cindy SDSU and USD and his favorite time about sixth grade was being on the playground do we have Austin Monson and his favorite subject was mass and he enjoyed 6th grade camp and also I'm going to miss seeing his teachers Xavier Morales was also very new student to our campus and such a sweet guy he works really hard and I hope the best for you they be on when you go to 7th grade I'm citlali was a very dedicated hardworking student she enjoyed media and her favorite memory of the whole sixth grade is when she went to camp and they went on the all-day hike and she's also going to miss having fun with her friends Isaac Ocampo his favorite sub is your book and he is going to miss camp and he's also going to miss all of his teachers good luck Isaac in 7th grade Guillermo Alonso. a very cool kid I always enjoy his energy and his wonderful smile best of luck to you garamond 7th grade keep up keep up the good work and stay working hard Gabriela Pacheco her favorite subject was English language arts and her favorite memory was when we went to sixth grade camp and she said she was really going to miss her teachers and her friends the most and then we have Anthony Salvaggio who was a very cool kid Anthony is no longer going to be with us at LGA but we will miss him take it easy Anthony best of luck and success 7th grade Julie and Thomas his favorite subject is science and he's also going to Mystic spray can and it looks like he's going to miss everything about elementary school does nothing specific to 6th grade Olive Elementary School good luck Joann Miss Kayla trailer Bradford was also very loving child and a hard worker and I hope the best for you Miss Kayla take it easy in 7th grade Luis Velasco his favorite subject is math and his favorite memory was at camp and he says he's going to miss his friend Diego LJ middle together then we have missed Isabella via she aspired to be a professional soccer player and her favorite subject is English language arts I'm her best memory at school was going to camp and she said she's really going to miss her teachers San Juanita yescas was also a very hard-working student very sweet child work I Miss You Juanita thank you for always being so open and honest and just a great student good luck in 7th grade and Callie young Kelly was also very hard-working student new to our school his favorite subject was science and he really enjoyed going to Camp they got to be a lot of new people from other schools and he's been just missed all the activities that we had at 6 for 6th grade at LGA best of luck to my class and now I'd like to introduce mrs. Schultz and she will present her sixth-grade promotion candidates mrs. Schultz thank you my homeroom is a wonderful group of 6th graders who I wish all the best for Johnny is a good friend and a hard worker I wish you the best of luck Jamaica 7th grade Gianni Leonard Eric new to our school wonderful addition of his favorite subject was physical education he enjoyed going to the field to basketball is one of his favorite sports and he's going to miss his friends from our school Sarah Felix Alejandro she and her favorite subject is language arts cheat her favorite memory is going to the ice cream truck and the piggyback races she's going to miss her friends from 6th grade best of luck in 7th grade sir Jose Ferrer reminisce his favorite subject was Matt his favorite Memories the field trip and he's going to miss having recess that goes away in 7th grade Juan Garcia a new addition to our school he was very quiet and yet strong and took one of the kind of students I've ever known with a great sense of humor black one cerenia Lily you are a wonderful addition to our school favorite subject or favorite memories are hanging out with friends and building relationships with teachers and she's going to miss everything about 6th grade and we're going to miss you too Isaac Morales his favorite subjects aren't Math and Science you can always find that young man drawing something favorite memories holidays and days off and he's going to miss the field trips for 6th grade some of my cell phone you are wonderful you or your intention to go to and go to an Ivy League school is admirable her favorite subjects hair were English language arts hanging out with friends and hanging out with her friends Lluvia you are a wonderful big sister and so kind your favorite subject was Matt one of her best memories was when she got to go to the basketball game field trip and she's going to miss the teachers thank you Juvia Giovanni Peralta you are going to be a wonderful caveman tologist he wants to go to because that's a good place to find dinosaur bones his favorite subjects language arts and science because he likes to read and he likes to learn some of his favorite memories are his teachers. They were kind and son and he learned a lot I'll miss him miss the teachers and friends at Lemon Grove Academy and you're right it's the best also g o u always got my jokes and you always knew what movies are talking about angel favorite subject is science he loved everything about six grade camp and he's going to miss recess because there isn't any and middle school you're right today Smith today was another wonderful addition to our school this year her favorite subjects are English and art some of our best memories were going to 6th grade camp and making pizza for the first time what should I miss the most is reading class Nyjah wow another wonderful addition to our school she wants to be in the women's basketball that's such a fear such a natural nausea favorite subjects now favorite memory of grade when we got to go to San Diego State University and what she's going to miss about six grade is Friday Rhian Sophie wonderful young man has favor physical education is favorite memories are the field trips and the things he's going to miss our his teachers and how we get out earlier than the middle schoolers forget good like rayon 2 Chainz pitching is her favorite subject was sixth grade Camp her favorite memory 6th grade Camp she got to meet many people and did many exciting activities she's going to miss about six grade her friends family and end we're going to miss you too and now we moved so first of all I want to say that I'm very happy to have gotten to know all of you and I know the year was cut short but like I told you the first day of school I had already adopted you guys you guys were already my babies and my babies and you can always come and visit and I saw are you grow and I know you're going to continue to grow and be successful we will begin with Melody on her favorite subject with media and like most of her students her favorite memory with 6th grade camp and she said she'll miss miss the Sofia most of us sixth grade and I'll miss you to Melody are next to Dennis Alfonso Baez his favorite subject was key and again his favorite memory Camp because he met new people and had fun outdoors and he will miss his friends and teachers good luck in 7th grade our next student is Yvette Cameron Berea and she wants to second grade so that she can have at their jobs her favorite subject is math her favorite memory is 6th grade camp and she's going to miss seeing her friends and teachers at school our next dude Emma Emma has a very strong. And it's a very hard worker her favorite subject is yearbook and again her favorite memory of 6th grade camp and she will miss all of the teachers Tarina that she wants to attend San Diego State and become an athletic and gets me to receive an athletic softball scholarship and become a first grade teacher her favorite subject is key and she really enjoyed touring the collagist best of luck Anna Lisa Castillo Covington her favorite subject is math her favorite memories are the field trip and like other students which she will miss the most is her friends and her Nature's Nathaniel centeno know his favorite subject is PE his favorite memory is 6th grade camp and what you will miss most about 6th grade it's his friends and his teachers our next student is Miley sibrian Sottero her favorite subject is math first favorite memory was of course 6th grade camp and she will miss her friends the most in 6th grade cancel loubna it's no surprise that his favorite subject is art his favorite memory was going to the dance when he wraps himself in tape and got dragged across the floor and he lost five minutes of the dance I was the person who took those minutes away and it was a fun memory for me too and his favorite memory is being in mrs. And I will miss you Jaden Danny De La Cruz his favorite subject and he wants to be a football player again his favorite memory is 6th grade camp and he will miss his friends and his teachers Brielle Garcia my favorite subject is math she loved all of the celebration and she will miss her friends and her teacher's this well best of luck real Fabian Garcia take this math his favorite memory is 6 red pants and he will miss the teachers Festival acadien Isabella godinez would like to be a photographer one day her favorite it's a snap for favorite memory is 6th grade camp and all of the field trip and what she will miss most about school are the teachers Jaden Hansen she would like to try the world if you have photographer her favorite subject is of course yearbook and her favorite 6th grade memory was can't because she had a really fun time and that new people best of luck Jada our next student Frederick Doug Henry Doug would like to join the NBA and make millions of dollars tree care if I'm playing a sport that he loves his favorite memory is PE and put his favorite subject to see his favorite memory is 6th grade camp and what he will miss most it's great as mrs. Deb before I conclude with some remarks that we are honored to have mr. her our school social worker here with us Mister her do you have any thoughts you'd like to share with the class absolutely thank you congratulations the sixth grade promoting class of 2020 and 2020 and thank you to all of your parents who reported your students your kids as well as our school Community I do I want to say you know it's been a little bit of a challenging year but all of us has showed resiliency and in the end it will help you become stronger so thank you so much best of luck dream big work hard and keep staying positive congratulations class of 2020 thank you mister her and now it's my turn I'm again I'm Peter in the interim principal for a Lemon Grove Academy Elementary it's been my pleasure to be here since late February and really soon after I got here we ended up going on this quarantine adventure with covid-19 Shane and all the rest and it's been quite an adventure it was a pleasure getting to know you when we were on site and it's been a pleasure getting to know you offside as well my job here is we wrap things up is to kind of give some closing it's about what comes next I think many of you might be very nervous about going to middle school five finger verse about Middle School is a normal natural thing being nervous is our body's way of telling what's the something is important and we need to pay attention to it Middle School is important you need to pay attention to it but the good news is there's a lot of people there at Middle School to help you even in the crazy times we're in the with all the quarantine and the virus and all the justice issues and police issues that are going on in a community right now it can be a very scary time someone for students of your age it can be a time when you're confused and very anxious and nervous these times are we can get through these times and we will get through these times I'm reminded stop my 93 year-old mother she'll be 93 in November she was a first grade teacher all her life and she inspired me to become a teacher and I recently retired after 30 plus years of V educator she helped me become the person I am today my three of my children are also Educators and I like to think that I had something to do with them choosing that passes they chose as well being an educator means one thing to me it means being a helper next year when you go to Middle School you will have people there to help you look for those helpers they've dedicate wives to being in that career and they want provide an opportunity to help you you make them feel good by allowing them to help you will every teacher that you meet in middle school and on the high school will every teacher a good match for you as a helper now so keep looking until you find someone that is a good match you know from your experience in elementary school that you found teachers that were very good helpers for you some or not but some were find those helpers look for them you're on a journey you are going forward into the rest of your life if I think of my journey When I was Your Age Manny years ago there was no such thing as the internet there no such thing as a cell phone we didn't use the Expression well just Google it and that wasn't even existence but now it is and nothing I learned in school could prepare me for that except the key knowledge the reading doing math during the course subjects what did taught me was to be a lifelong learner and that's what I try to be the even at my age my mother my 93 year-old mother she's also a lifelong learner just FaceTiming each other the other day and she's 93 years old so you can be a lifelong Turner to the best advice I can give you when you go to middle school next year look for the helpers find them they are eager to they dedicate their lives to being helpers as you go on your journey think about being a helper yourself it's how you pay it forward it's how you pay it back good luck to all of you excited for your future I looked you should be looking forward to it as well congratulations you deserve this special time and commemoration of your achievement good luck in middle school and thank you for letting me the Opera I need to get to know you and be part of your school experience congratulations good luck to the class of 2020
